Effective January 2021, Walker & Hannor-Walker, LLC has committed to awarding annually at least two scholarships in honor of the parents of Jacque’ Walker and the grandmother and mother of Dr. TeShaunda Hannor-Walker. Jacque’ and TeShaunda are first generation college graduates from an Historically Black College and University (HBCU). Jacque’ is a graduate and Diamond Life Member of The Savannah State University (SSU). TeShaunda is a graduate and Lifetime Member of The Fort Valley State University (FVSU). Jacque’ and TeShaunda both have since obtained advanced degrees and are the owners of Walker & Hannor-Walker, LLC located in Albany, Georgia. Most importantly, they are proud followers of Jesus Christ and are committed to sharing God’s message and blessings with other aspiring college graduates.

Current Scholarships:
1. The Annie Mae & Voncile Hannor Christian Scholarship (AMVHCS)- FVSU applicants – Award amount: $500 (one-time scholarship)
 
2. The Daniel & Beauty Walker Christian Scholarship (DBWCS)- SSU applicants – Award amount: $500 (one-time scholarship)
 
We would like to recognize a graduating senior who has been accepted to either The Fort Valley State University or The Savannah State University.
   
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. A current high school senior or recent GED graduate,
2. Accepted to SSU or FVSC for the upcoming fall semester,
3. A resident of either Macon County, GA or Laurens County, GA, and
4. Enrolled at one of the following schools:
  • Macon County High School
  • East Laurens High School
  • GED school in Macon County, GA or Laurens County, GA

Important Dates:

*February 1st-Scholarship application opens
*April 1st- Application Deadline
*May 1st- Selection call/notification
*Announcement/Presentation of scholarship
*July 15th-Dispersement of Funds: All scholarship funds will be sent directly to the university by July 15th for the fall semester.
Note: High school recipients can only receive the scholarship once.
